Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates regular sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 10lbs and infrequent lifting of items up to 50lbs.

Job Summary:

The UK HealthCare Sleep Disorders Center is in search of a Lead Sleep Technologist.

The Sleep Center delivers clinical services for both adults and children five days a week, with an average of six night sleep studies conducted weekly.

The Lead Sleep Technologist collaborates with the Sleep Center Manager to provide educational support and clinical direction to sleep technologists. Key responsibilities encompass fostering a collaborative team atmosphere, ensuring adherence to patient care guidelines, and promoting precise documentation of patient care activities. The role highlights the importance of maintaining equipment performance quality, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring compliance with AASM and regulatory standards.

Moreover, this position leads educational initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and quality, engages in special projects to refine service delivery, and upholds necessary credentials. It also emphasizes cultivating a culture of compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, promoting exceptional customer service, and proactively identifying and addressing patient safety risks.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess experience with polysomnography equipment and proficiency in MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and electronic medical records.

Preferred Education/Experience:

3 years of clinical experience as a polysomnography technician with 1-2 years in a lead role or higher preferred.
