The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of Chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The Division is poised to achieve regional and national recognition in clinical care delivery and medical education with opportunities to build a robust research program focused on the care of medically complex patients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in achieving its strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement effective administrative, clinical, research, and educational programs to advance the success of the Division.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to promote the development of expertise in medical education, complex care, quality and safety, and health services research.
- Recruit and retain top talent to join the Division, including faculty, staff, and students.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure the financial sustainability of the Division.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, and community partners.
- MD, DO degree or equivalent.
- Residency training in Internal Medicine.
- Fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care.
- Clinical physician experience and demonstrated qualifications in education and research.
- Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary.
- In current possession of, or eligible for, license to practice medicine in the state of KY.
- Additional training with a Masters degree in Public Health, Research, Education, Health Administration or Business.
