Job Summary

The Lead CT Technologist plays a crucial role in the Imaging Department at Lexington Clinic, assisting staff CT Technologists and Radiologists in performing diagnostic procedures for patients using computed tomography. This position requires effective collaboration with patients and other clinical personnel to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Staff CT Technologists and Radiologists in performing diagnostic procedures for patients using computed tomography.
  • Work effectively with patients and other clinical personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members in the Imaging Department.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • Formal training in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure from the Kentucky Department of Human Resources/Radiation Control Branch.
  • Successful completion of the ARRT registry examination for CT.
  • Minimum two years of experience in CT operations.
  • Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four years of experience in CT operations.
Physical Guidelines
  • Ability to move, traverse, position self, and remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours per day.
  • Ability to assist patients in turning, lying down on, and arising from the table safely.
  • Ability to push wheelchair patients and assist patients in arising from and returning to wheelchair safely.
  • Ability to move, lift, and position materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Manual dexterity and motor coordination.
  • Visual and auditory acuity.
