Position Overview:
Pacifica Continental is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to enhance our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive credit evaluations and underwriting various transactions, including commercial, international, and consumer loans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial statements to assess the feasibility of credit proposals.
  • Review accounting practices and meticulously examine financial documents and related data.
  • Develop credit presentations that address risk identification and mitigation, repayment sources, sensitivity assessments, industry insights, and project evaluations.
  • Gather credit reports, OFAC checks, and background information to verify credit references against provided data.
  • Evaluate the operational methods, financial health, and performance of borrowers to ascertain their repayment capabilities.
  • Request detailed information and engage in discussions to resolve issues related to the borrower's financial standing and credit risk.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Manager to address any discrepancies in applications or missing documentation.
  • Conduct credit underwriting, evaluate credit risks, adhere to the Bank's Credit Policy, and provide recommendations for credit proposals to the Credit Manager.
  • Perform credit analyses for annual assessments and renewals as necessary.
  • Monitor borrowers' financial conditions in relation to authorized credit facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial covenants for each transaction as approved.
  • Maintain ongoing oversight of problematic credits.
  • Assist with administrative duties for the credit committee, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and correspondence.
  • Authorize credit and trade references as required.
  • Engage in special projects concerning the bank's loan portfolio, including legal lending limits and Allowances for Loan Losses.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements, including BSA/AML, CDD, EDD, and others as specified by the Compliance and Information Security Divisions.
  • Participate in all mandatory training sessions as assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution, coupled with five years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
