Job Title: Controls Systems Team Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Systems Team Leader to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our field technician team and planning monthly technician routes. You will analyze team performance and recommend changes to ensure profitability, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide leadership for assigned teams, ensuring developmental plans are in place.
  • Lead the execution efforts of assigned business, ensuring consistency of delivery systems and monitoring business plans.
  • Coordinate team work with sales to ensure all sales opportunities are supported, including linkage to installation opportunities.
  • Identify potential market opportunities and raise them to the attention of the appropriate branch or region resource for strategic direction.
  • Ensure serviced account portfolios achieve growth, proper profit levels, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend and support staffing requirements for the assigned business.
  • Serve as a communication channel to share standard process strategies and results, enabling SSNA vision.
  • Implement plans to comply with and monitor standards for HVAC operations, auditing effectiveness and making changes to improve performance.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are completed, and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Drive service and installation operational review meetings, reviewing bids and estimates for accuracy.
  • Effectively use branch workforce management tools and deployment of overall resources.
  • Analyze operations processes and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Perform other managerial responsibilities, including performance reviews and acquisitions consistent with established business strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or equivalent working experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive operational experience in HVAC services.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a management role with responsibility for the productivity and development of others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Eight (8) years' experience in an operational HVAC role with leadership responsibilities.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.
