Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Controls Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing building control systems, including HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of building control systems, including HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair complex control systems malfunctions, requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems.
  • Consult with customers to provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment.
  • Assist sales teams by providing technical recommendations for sales leads.
  • Manage assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide training to customers on control systems operations and deliver manuals and documentation as required.
  • Compile job documentation, including certificates of completion, customer training forms, and punch lists.
  • Conduct extensive self-study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company product lines.

Requirements:

  • Vocational school graduate or associate's degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
  • Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
  • Demonstrate effective writing skills and understanding of programs and software applications.
  • Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.

Johnson Controls International offers a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $38.27 to $57.40 per hour, depending on education, experience, and qualifications. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) savings plan with company match.
