About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our team at Chenega Corporation. As an HVAC Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance on a variety of equipment, systems, and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including lab equipment and other mechanical systems.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair systems that provide heat, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam, or high-temperature water or electricity.
  • Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts to ensure safe and efficient operation of the system.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and plumbing equipment, including pumps, air compressors, and miscellaneous mechanical items.
  • Repair and maintain lab and lab support equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • New Jersey Low-Pressure Boiler License.
  • HVAC CFC Certification.
  • Completion of a four-year U.S. Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship in HVACR or a Bachelor's degree in HVACR from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum three years of mechanical and electrical maintenance helper experience within the past three years.
