Position Overview:

The Cybersecurity Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting AI-driven software solutions to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) within moderate to high-level environments. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing software systems that conduct extensive cyber data analytics across various technological platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure the effective implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and facilitate system accreditations.
  • Utilize expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to enhance cybersecurity measures.
  • Develop proficiency in programming languages, including Python, Java, or C++, to contribute to system enhancements.
  • Engage with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and Information System Security Managers (ISSM) to review and assess security documentation and compliance.
  • Provide insights into vulnerability management, utilizing scanning tools to evaluate system adherence to security protocols.
  • Navigate the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) Assess and Authorization (A&A) processes, ensuring compliance at all levels.
  • Review and draft compelling documentation for NIST Security Controls and Assessment Procedures.
  • Independently create RMF A&A documentation and artifacts necessary for obtaining RMF ATO.
  • Maintain a TS/SCI clearance to handle sensitive information.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in configuration management for cybersecurity software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Background as a System or Network Administrator.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in database development and management.
  • Ability to analyze technical and policy documentation for DoD organizations and create training materials aligned with DoD or DON RMF processes.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
  • Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification.
  • Certifications in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), CISM, CCISO, CISSP, GIAC, GSLC, or CASP+.

Security Clearance:

Applicants selected for this position will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
