Job Overview

Clearwaters.IT is in search of a Cybersecurity Engineer who will play a pivotal role in the holistic design, development, and implementation of secure architectures and systems within Military OneSource computing and network environments. This position is crucial for ensuring adherence to DoD Information Assurance (IA) standards, safeguarding the functionality and security of both development and operational systems.

This role is fully remote and requires an active Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secure and efficient systems architectures.
  • Ensure seamless integration and connectivity of IT platforms.
  • Address the needs of program of record systems and specialized processing nodes.
  • Assess business strategies to identify security requirements.
  • Conduct thorough security analyses and risk assessments.
  • Stay updated with the latest information security standards.
  • Investigate architecture and platform for potential integration challenges.
  • Prepare financial estimates for security implementations.
  • Define methodologies for intrusion detection and response.
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of security solutions.
  • Implement both preventive and reactive security measures.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of security keys.
  • Provide technical support and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Develop and execute test scripts to validate security systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant DoD and federal cybersecurity policies.
  • Assist in the formulation and revision of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of DoD Instruction and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD IT.
  • Utilize DoD cybersecurity tools such as eMASS and ACAS.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of five years of experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III or IAM Level III certification (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CCSP).
  • At least five years of pertinent experience in system architecture and cybersecurity.
  • Proficient in security technologies and tools applicable to AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy regulations and HIPAA standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DoD IA requirements and cybersecurity policies.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity tools and technologies, particularly within AWS cloud settings.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Fluent in English.
