Communications Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Solutions Architect to join our team at MELE Associates, Inc. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing large and complex communications systems for our clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in classified computing and a complete understanding of communications systems and their operations. Familiarity with policies and procedures surrounding classified computing within the Department of Energy is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement large and complex communications systems
- Review needs and incorporate requirements utilizing both off-the-shelf and internally developed hardware and software solutions
- Provide large and complex hardware, software, database, networking and telecommunications support to the Nuclear Emergency Support Team Standards and Training Program (NEST)
- Be responsible for day-to-day operations as well as the readiness of multiple communications suites that provide classified computing
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE Q-level security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer or Engineering related field or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Possess relevant technical certifications (ie. CCNP, CompTIA Network+)
- In-depth and extensive experience architecting complex and/or large networking and computing solutions using various technologies/methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current holder of an active Q or TS clearance
- Prior experience with the Department of Energy
- Experience with complex classified networking and computing solutions
