Position Overview

We are in search of a Marketing Manager to lead our marketing team and collaborate closely with senior leadership to expand and engage our customer base through comprehensive marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role within a dynamic, entrepreneurial team to enhance success and profitability for Wondery Outdoors.
  • Design and oversee the marketing calendar.
  • Manage all marketing campaigns and the marketing team effectively.

Strategic Development

  • Conceptualize, plan, and spearhead new lifecycle marketing initiatives aimed at achieving ambitious growth targets and overall profitability.
  • Act as the owner of lifecycle marketing, devising strategies to attract and retain customers while driving revenue growth.
  • Formulate and implement growth marketing strategies, including content development, social media, email/SMS flows, upsell/cross-sell tactics, landing pages, and paid media campaigns.

Performance Measurement

  • Adopt a test-and-learn methodology for all growth initiatives, establishing key performance indicators, goals, and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance e-commerce conversion rates, average order value, customer retention, and return on ad spend.
  • Provide insights to the product development process based on findings from lifecycle marketing.

Market Insight

  • Analyze consumer behavior and key lifecycle metrics such as average order value, clickthrough rates, and conversion rates.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive direct-to-consumer landscape, identifying best practices and anticipating market shifts.

Reporting

  • Prepare and present marketing performance reports confidently to executive management.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within direct-to-consumer e-commerce.
  • Data-driven, detail-oriented, and a creative problem solver with a proven track record in performance marketing.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing online marketing strategies and CRM, focusing on high ROI.
  • Proficient in Klaviyo or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Photoshop and Canva is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
  • A passion for the outdoors and familiarity with lifestyle and outdoor brands is highly desirable.
