Job Overview

ACROBiosystems is a leading developer and manufacturer of recombinant proteins and critical reagents/assays for drug development and clinical applications. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lab Manager to oversee lab operations, supervise lab employees, and ensure the highest level of quality and safety in our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee lab operations, including purchasing supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise lab employees, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for lab operations, including laboratory housekeeping procedures, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate large-scale facility changes, including lab reorganizations and/or expansion.
  • Anticipate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems associated with work within the laboratory setting, including occasional off-hours responses to laboratory emergencies.
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related Life Science degree with 5+ years' experience in an industrial biotechnology setting with 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 3+ years of wet lab experience and a broad knowledge of standard lab equipment.
  • Proven experience in laboratory housekeeping procedures, including maintaining inventory and equipment, ordering supplies, preparing solutions, maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment.
  • Understanding of microbiology and sterile technique.
  • Knowledge of EH&S regulations and requirements for laboratory safety, including methods for handling, cleaning, and disposal of waste.
  • Experience and aptitude for the management of laboratory operations personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years' experience with Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) service.
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO.
  • Must have experience working in a high throughput manufacturing environment and be flexible to modification in a work environment.
  • Strong team management, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Have a strong sense of work responsibility and cost awareness.
Salary and Benefits
  • Base Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 DOE plus bonus.
