Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Takes initial patient histories and performs thorough physical examinations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Initiates, documents, and communicates patient care plans, ensuring complete screening and preparation of patients.
- Performs daily patient rounds to monitor progress and address concerns.
- Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests, and interprets results to inform patient care decisions.
- Confers with attending physicians, residents, and other care providers to ensure optimal quality of patient care.
- Upon discharge, notes discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals on patient charts, and informs patients of necessary post-discharge care instructions.
- Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in specialty area required.
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State, and current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
- Collaborative practice agreement with designated protocols filed with NYS Department of Education OR collaborative relationship attestation as per the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act 2015.
- Current BLS certification, required.
Additional Salary Detail
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$180,000/year. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
