About This Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center.

Job Summary:

As a Nurse Practitioner in our Cardiac Care Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans.

  • You will assess patient needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide primary and emergency care to patients with complex cardiac conditions.
  • Your expertise will be essential in implementing physician orders, administering medications, and performing treatments as needed.
  • You will work closely with the nursing team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Additionally, you will direct and guide ancillary personnel, maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, symptoms, and test results to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications, monitor their effectiveness, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educational and Training Responsibilities: Participate in educational programs, conferences, and workshops to stay current on best practices and advancements in cardiac care.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care setting.
  • Certifications: Current certifications in cardiovascular disease management and critical care.
  • Licensure: Active New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and education assistance.
