About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Compliance Counsel to join our team at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our consultants and clients in understanding changes to benefit laws, implications to their benefit plans, and necessary steps to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support consultants in helping clients navigate complex benefit laws and regulations.
  • Conduct compliance reviews for clients, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for becoming more compliant.
  • Provide timely and accurate analyses of current legislative initiatives and regulations, ensuring clients are well-informed and prepared.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subject matter experts in employee benefits law, staying up-to-date on regulatory processes and tracking relevant legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create written compliance resources, including white papers, FAQs, and other educational materials.
  • Assist consultants in developing compliance presentations and support client sales and retention efforts.
  • Participate in client-facing presentations and conversations, providing expert guidance and advice on benefits compliance.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Benefits Compliance Counsel with a strong background in employee benefits law. A Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience are required, with a Juris Doctorate and current license to practice law being preferred.
