Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join our team at Crescent Hotels & Resorts. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director of Sales and Marketing in the efficient operation of the Sales and Catering Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and distribute incoming leads to the sales team based on segmentation
  • Field incoming calls for the sales and admin department
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales in the implementation of hotel amenity programs
  • Collect and prepare sensitive information pertaining to customer billing
  • Assist with the preparation of pre and post-event documentation and coordinate with the Director of Sales, hotel operations, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the event process
  • Assist the Director of Finance in proper group billing, setting up of master folios, and settling of accounts
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events
  • Act as a liaison between field sales personnel and customers throughout the event process
  • Proactively identify operational challenges associated with events and work with hotel staff and customers to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions
  • Manage banquet and meeting space for assigned groups
  • Advise sales staff on the ability to accommodate client demands, including phone requirements, fit of available space, and materials such as booths
  • Assist sales staff in promoting the hotel, developing leads, and securing re-bookings
  • Access and input data into a computer system to generate account history reports
Requirements
  • Previous hotel experience strongly preferred
  • 1 year plus in the guest services, front desk, sales and marketing, management operations, or related areas
  • Basic admin experience required
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Performance Standards

It is essential that you remain professional at all times, and that you treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect, under all circumstances.
  • Work Habits: In order to maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Safety and Security: The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent Hotels & Resorts. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, privacy, confidentiality, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
