Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Maintain and execute a schedule for day-to-day client contact and visitation. First respondent to Client requests. Develop and adhere to a program for client site surveys and follow up on results.
  • Employee Management: Assist in Hiring field employees. Assign all uniforms and company equipment. Implement and utilize the Pool, Hardscape, and Landscape Training. Perform Supervisory training for identified employees. Maintain the Training Board. Enforce all established field policies. Assist in evaluating foreman & crew leader performance. Evaluate crew member performance. Monitor the status of Performance Evaluations, and keep current. Makes wage and compensation recommendations for production employees. Assists in decisions of timing for seasonal labor reduction. Coordinates and communicates information between the Managing Partner, Design/Sales, and field.
  • Operations: Implements and follows disciplinary actions and procedures. Involvement in all necessary disciplinary action up to and including terminations for production teams. Responsible for morale.
  • Financial Management: Assist Design and Sales team in setting Labor and Material Budgets. Manage Master and Weekly Production Hours Re-Cap and provide weekly updates. Review with the Managing Partners the Actual Costs vs. Budget on a regular basis.
  • Field Management: Assist in Scheduling all field-related activities to be performed per contract and or proposal specifications and within established budgets. Daily morning production meeting with the foreman. Manage morning mobilization and afternoon return. Manage performance expectations. Establish, implement, and manage labor and material budgets. Monitor usage of Foreman's manuals. Route and staff crews to be as efficient as possible. Train, Manage, and Monitor Job Sequencing with crew leaders. Maintain remedial production calendar. Revise schedules as needed. Manage materials and equipment availability and usage. Train and Implement Agronomic Programs. Maintain and adhere to the agronomic calendar.
  • Quality Control/Scheduling: Perform routine job site inspections. Implement Quality Inspection and Scoring Process with crew leaders. Perform DCP job start-up inspections and recommendations. Perform Job start-up process with all foreman and crew leaders. Verify contract specifications are being met. Develop training programs to address quality improvement. Manage and drive the punch list process.
  • Safety Management: Implement and manage all safety programs as outlined in the safety manual. Chooses topics and implements all Safety Tailgate Meetings, and fills out Report of Safety Meeting. Participates in the New Hire Training and Orientation. Performs all vehicle and equipment inspections. Conduct all Safety Audits. Responsible for identification of unsafe equipment or vehicles, and follows company safety recommendations. Ensure compliance with OSHA, as well as all Federal, State and Local requirements.
  • Marketing Management: Identifies and suggests target low-margin services and production for replacement. Identify potential up sales on properties for proposal generation. Creates and presents Remedial Proposals and identifies sales opportunities. Meet and Maintain remedial sales goals within the existing client base.
  • Office and Administration: Cooperate with Managing Partners and Design/Sales team to ensure smooth operations. Assist in providing a professional appearance of office facilities. Participate in keeping files organized and up to date. Verify Remedial billing schedules ensuring all work performed has been invoiced. Provide proper paperwork flow from field to office. Assist with time sheets and Production Reports. Coordinate client information between office and field. Communicate uniform, field, and office supply needs. Maintain a clean and functional training area. Be proactive in responding to deadlines.
  • Equipment and Shop Management: Verify crew tool and equipment inventories on a monthly basis. Distribute tools and equipment for the most efficient use. Maintain appearance of all equipment. Implement, manage and track the preventative maintenance program process. Maintain Inventory and order parts and supplies for equipment. Assist or perform minor repairs or take equipment to the repair shop. All annual DOT inspections on all trucks and trailers. Report equipment abuse. Provide necessary disciplinary action for violation of equipment policies. Keep shop clean and organized. Secure loaner or spare equipment. Monitor and check proper fuel mixtures for gas cans. Open and close shop.
  • DCP Brand and Compliance: Review Operations Manuals and Safety Manuals and enforce all compliance issues. Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications to perform all aspects of pool, hardscape, and landscape. Perform any other tasks necessary or requested by the Managing Partners to ensure a smooth and profitable operation.

  • Physical Demands: The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes and/or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
