Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscape Operations Manager to lead our production team and ensure the highest quality of work. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute a schedule for client contact and visitation
  • Develop and adhere to a program for client site surveys and follow-up on results
  • Assist in hiring and training field employees
  • Implement and utilize the Pool, Hardscape, and Landscape Training
  • Enforce all established field policies
  • Assist in evaluating foreman and crew leader performance
  • Monitor the status of Performance Evaluations and make recommendations for production employees
  • Coordinate and communicate information between the Managing Partner, Design/Sales, and field Operations
  • Implement and follow disciplinary actions and procedures
  • Responsible for morale and employee relations
  • Assist in setting Labor and Material Budgets
  • Manage Master and Weekly Production Hours
  • Review and provide weekly updates on Actual Costs vs. Budget
  • Assist in scheduling all field-related activities
  • Manage morning mobilization and afternoon return
  • Establish, implement, and manage labor and material budgets
  • Monitor usage of Foreman's manuals
  • Train, manage, and monitor Job Sequencing with crew leaders
  • Maintain remedial production calendar
  • Revised schedules as needed
  • Manage materials and equipment availability and usage
  • Train and implement Agronomic Programs
  • Maintain and adhere to the agronomic calendar
  • Review Pool, Hardscape, Landscape foreman Reports
  • Fills in as foreman crew leader in their absence
  • Review Daily Production Reports and Management Report
  • Monitor usage of Foreman's manuals
  • Collect payroll information
  • Perform routine job site inspections
  • Implement Quality Inspection and Scoring Process with crew leaders
  • Perform DCP job start-up inspections and recommendations
  • Perform Job start-up process with all foreman and crew leaders
  • Verify contract specifications are being met
  • Develop training programs to address quality improvement
  • Manage and drive the punch list process
  • Implement and manage all safety programs as outlined in the safety manual
  • Chooses topics and implements all Safety Tailgate Meetings
  • Participates in the New Hire Training and Orientation
  • Performs all vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Conducts all Safety Audits
  • Responsible for identification of unsafe equipment or vehicles
  • Follows company safety recommendations
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, as well as all Federal, State and Local requirements
  • Identifies and suggests target low-margin services and production for replacement
  • Identifies potential up sales on properties for proposal generation
  • Creates and presents Remedial Proposals and identifies sales opportunities
  • Meets and maintains remedial sales goals within the existing client base
  • Cooperates with Managing Partners and Design/Sales team to ensure smooth operations
  • Assists in providing a professional appearance of office facilities
  • Participates in keeping files organized and up to date
  • Verifies Remedial billing schedules ensuring all work performed has been invoiced
  • Provides proper paperwork flow from field to office
  • Assists with time sheets and Production Reports
  • Coordinates client information between office and field
  • Communicates uniform, field, and office supply needs
  • Maintains a clean and functional training area
  • Be proactive in responding to deadlines
  • Verifies crew tool and equipment inventories on a monthly basis
  • Distributes tools and equipment for the most efficient use
  • Maintains appearance of all equipment
  • Implements, manages, and tracks the preventative maintenance program process
  • Maintains inventory and orders parts and supplies for equipment
  • Assists or performs minor repairs or takes equipment to the repair shop
  • All annual DOT inspections on all trucks and trailers
  • Reports equipment abuse
  • Provides necessary disciplinary action for violation of equipment policies
  • Keeps shop clean and organized
  • Secures loaner or spare equipment
  • Monitors and checks proper fuel mixtures for gas cans
  • Opens and closes shop
  • Reviews Operations Manuals and Safety Manuals and enforces all compliance issues
  • Maintains all necessary licenses and certifications to perform all aspects of pool, hardscape, and landscape
  • Performs any other tasks necessary or requested by the Managing Partners to ensure a smooth and profitable operation
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of experience in a production or supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Salary and Benefits:

Competitive salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year
