Position Overview
A Front Row Seat to Innovation
Position Purpose - As a Medical Assistant at Children's Hospital Colorado, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive healthcare experience. You will serve as a patient liaison, explaining physician instructions, educating patients, and answering questions as directed by the provider.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including explaining treatment procedures, instructing patients on medication and special diets, and performing basic lab tests.
- Update and file patient medical records, code and fill out insurance forms, and schedule appointments.
- Collaborate with patients and families to implement the plan of care as directed by the Care Team.
- Promote patient safety and well-being by performing administrative and clinical duties.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- None to one year of experience in a direct healthcare role.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR certification.
