Job Summary

Orlando Health is seeking a skilled Credentialing Specialist to provide support to the medical staff and allied health staff with credentialing and privileging activities. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as Orlando Health's Bylaws, Rules & Regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to physicians and physician office staff members, as well as internal customers.
  • Obtain timely and accurate primary source verification for all credentialing functions.
  • Complete accurate and timely data entry of all credentialing activity into physician credentialing systems.
  • Identify trends and assist in the development of action plans for performance improvement.
  • Interact with department chairmen and leadership chairmen in the preparation of meeting calendars and meeting notices.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
