Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator

CES is expanding its team and is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to support our GridBOOST Optimization Energy Market Scheduling software and the Market Operations Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work a rotating 3-person, 8-hour shift schedule, including weekends and occasional holidays.
  • Submit Real-Time and Day-Ahead Energy bids and offers on behalf of clients, adhering to ISO/RTO market timelines.
  • Monitor the operation of utility-scale battery storage facilities, wind turbines, hydroelectric plants, and solar sites.
  • Ensure the economical dispatch of generation assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Utilize monitoring tools and software to analyze performance metrics and optimize energy production efficiency.
  • Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Coordinate notifications for planned, unplanned, and emergency outages.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the energy sector.
  • Market knowledge within optimization.
  • A two-year college degree in Electrical Technology, Finance/Economics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail, even under stressful conditions.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with CAISO, ERCOT, ISONE, MISO, SPP, or PJM.
  • Preferred PJM or NERC Operator Certification (CES is willing to provide training and certification; candidates must be willing to maintain certification through continuing education).
  • Experience monitoring GE, Siemens, PI, or other Generation SCADA/EMS Systems.
