About Us:

The Sensor Systems and Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Technology team consists of skilled engineers, scientists, and technicians dedicated to developing sensor systems and inspection methodologies. Our mission is to conduct and oversee inspections that evaluate the integrity of various structures, ranging from underwater applications to aerospace environments.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee inspection operations for large-scale manufacturing projects across diverse industries.
  • Evaluate and supervise third-party inspection teams to ensure compliance with necessary certifications and adherence to established procedures.
  • Create inspection protocols that meet industry standards for sectors such as petrochemical, aerospace, pressure vessels, and nuclear energy.
  • Contribute to the advancement of innovative inspection techniques and execute both traditional and cutting-edge inspection tasks.
  • Assist in research and development initiatives central to the objectives of the Sensor Systems and NDE Technology Section.


Daily Duties:
  • Engage with clients to ascertain NDE requirements, develop and validate inspection procedures, coordinate inspections, analyze results, and compile formal reports.
  • Innovate and refine inspection methodologies, techniques, and data collection processes.
  • Collaborate with NDT vendors to facilitate inspections and address any procedural or equipment-related challenges.
  • Participate in production meetings, update project teams on progress, and manage scheduling effectively.
  • Maintain qualifications for certification across multiple inspection methods, ensuring documentation of relevant experience.
  • Pursue additional certifications and credentials to enhance project contributions and career growth.
  • Support the internal ISO9001 quality management system and engage in regular audits.
  • Organize and maintain NDT inspection records systematically.
  • Uphold Institute quality and environmental health and safety (EHS) standards and requirements.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates for project proposals.
  • Provide insights on advanced technologies in nondestructive instrumentation and inspection methodologies.


Qualifications:
  • Requires an Associate's degree in nondestructive testing or a related field, along with 15-20 years of relevant experience and ongoing education/certifications.
  • 15 years of experience in nondestructive testing is essential.
  • Familiarity with automated inspection systems is preferred, as well as experience in production environments across various industries such as power generation, pressure vessels, pipelines, aerospace, and maritime.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required, along with experience in drafting inspection procedures based on codes, standards, and contractual obligations. Willingness to travel occasionally for project support is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats are essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision is preferred. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
