Role Overview

The Field Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our Damage Prevention Technicians. Reporting directly to the Operations Center Manager, you will be responsible for managing team workflows, scheduling, and task delegation. Your leadership will ensure that our operational goals and performance standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of Damage Prevention Technicians, focusing on performance metrics and business objectives.
  • Foster a robust safety culture within the team.
  • Conduct regular planning meetings to uphold quality control standards.
  • Perform audits on field personnel to ensure compliance with quality expectations.
  • Facilitate performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and the community.
  • Support the Center Manager in assessing the strengths and areas for improvement of team members.
  • Assist technicians in locating challenging utilities.
  • Collaborate with HR for staffing needs and participate in the hiring process.
  • Ensure safe operation of company vehicles and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Validate and approve daily time reports for personnel.
  • Engage in the development and evaluation of technicians, enhancing overall team morale.
  • Complete Job Safety Observations (JSOs) for technicians.
  • Participate in ticket production and weekend work as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, along with relevant work experience.
  • Preferred: One or more years of leadership experience.
  • Required: Six months of utility locating experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Suite, and Gmail.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze situations and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and equipment.
  • Physical capability to carry electronic locating equipment and lift heavy objects.
