Position Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced individual to take on the role of Field Survey Supervisor. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to become part of a well-established and dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a Survey Field Crew, primarily working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Utilize a range of survey instruments and equipment under the supervision of the Survey Manager.
  • Ensure all land surveying tasks are executed under the guidance of a licensed Professional Land Surveyor.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Training, mentoring, and overseeing field crew members while verifying the accuracy of their work.
  • Maintaining and caring for survey equipment and vehicles.
  • Performing daily administrative tasks, including data management and documentation.
  • Collaborating with office personnel and clients on project specifics and field-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Land Surveying, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of field procedures for various types of surveys, including boundary, right-of-way, and topographic surveys.
  • Proficient in data collection using GNSS, Total Station, and Digital Level equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with large-scale, complex projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
  • Capability to navigate steep slopes and uneven terrain as required.
  • A clean driving record and a valid Washington State Driver's License, or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
  • Land Surveyor-In-Training (LSIT) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with survey technology and software, such as Leica HDS Scanners and Trimble products, is a plus.

Work Environment:

The role involves primarily outdoor work in diverse settings, including roadways, natural landscapes, and utility infrastructure. Occasional regional travel may be necessary.
