The Lead Financial Analyst will be an integral member of the IT Operations division within the Corporate Finance Organization. This team is dedicated to enhancing financial clarity for IT leaders, segment business executives, finance professionals, and other vital stakeholders.

In this capacity, you will be expected to grasp the strategic and operational goals of the department, segment, and organization, including their interconnections with related sectors. This position will assess the financial ramifications of suggested investments or transactions, enabling senior management to weigh options against the organization's objectives.

The Lead Financial Analyst will work collaboratively with various personnel in IT and across different leadership tiers to enhance the accuracy of forecasting and budgeting. This role will articulate and apply the tools, technologies, applications, and methodologies utilized to gather, integrate, analyze, and present an organization’s raw data, transforming it into insightful and actionable intelligence.

This position has the potential to shape departmental strategies and assist IT leaders in their decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, compile, verify, and analyze financial data and economic indicators to inform strategic and operational decisions regarding acquisitions, investments, capital expenditures, divestitures, mergers, or asset sales.
  • Deliver findings to senior management on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Evaluate the financial implications of proposed investments or transactions.
  • Assess industry, economic, financial, and market trends to project the organization’s short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive standing.
  • Conduct analysis on expenses, costs, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates, which may include financial modeling, reporting, and budgeting. Provide guidance to executives in developing functional strategies on significant matters.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on business case evaluations and return on investment assessments.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and initiatives.
  • Experience in advising senior leadership on financial strategies.
  • Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for both internal and external reporting.
  • Ability to develop methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing data for intricate analyses.
  • Capability to lead and manage special projects that may require cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong executive-level communication skills.
  • Remote work capability, with availability to operate within EST/CST time zones.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs arise.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a finance/accounting role within an IT organization or supporting IT expenditures.
  • Experience managing capitalized technology labor costs and ledger/balance sheet treatment of these costs.
  • Familiarity with Apptio or application TCO.
  • Experience in transformation management related to project financials.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or Oracle Projects.
  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration or CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in the health insurance sector within finance/accounting.
Additional Information:

Visa transfers and sponsorship are not available for this role.

This position offers a hybrid work model for those living within a commutable distance to the office, while fully remote options are available for those outside this range, provided they can work within the EST or CST time zones.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. The pay range may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications. $93,000 - $128,000 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
