Position Overview:

As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for the preparation and administration of ionizing radiation treatments to patients diagnosed with cancer. This role requires a high level of collaboration with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and other medical professionals to ensure personalized treatment plans are executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate advanced equipment including CT simulators and linear accelerators.
  • Utilize QA dosimeters and diode systems to monitor treatment accuracy.
  • Implement safety protocols and quality assurance measures to maintain patient well-being.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training to stay updated with the latest advancements in radiation therapy.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
  • Current licensure as a Medical Radiation Technologist in Maryland.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • New graduates are encouraged to pursue this opportunity.

Work Schedule:
PRN (as needed) with shifts typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
