As a key member of the radiation oncology team, the Radiation Therapist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves the preparation and administration of ionizing radiation to patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and treatment plans.
Work Environment:
The role is situated within a collaborative and diverse healthcare setting, where professionals from various disciplines work together to provide individualized treatment for cancer patients. The team includes radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, and nursing staff, all dedicated to achieving optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate advanced technology including:
- CT simulator
- Linear accelerator
- QA dosimeters
- Diode system
2. Implement quality assurance measures to maintain patient safety.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute personalized treatment plans.
4. Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy
- Current licensure as a Medical Radiation Technologist in Maryland
- Valid CPR certification
- New graduates are encouraged to explore this opportunity.
Work Schedule:
PRN (as needed), with typical hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
