We are currently seeking Technical Field Specialists who will oversee the installation, qualification, repair, and maintenance of metrology systems at client locations, while also facilitating the essential transfer of expertise to our customers.


Compensation:
$28-$35/hr. based on experience

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally is required.

Position Overview
Technical Field Specialists (TFS) are tasked with the installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of semiconductor equipment at client facilities. TFS will manage the following subsystems: electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, optical, lasers, and wafer transfer systems (including robotics). Comprehensive training will be provided, either formally or through on-the-job (OTJ) methods.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete assigned formal and OTJ training with the aim of achieving instrument certification.
2. Manage and maintain traveling inventory in accordance with departmental policies.
3. Safeguard and maintain company assets.
4. Respond to customer messages and service calls in alignment with service department standards.
5. Keep accurate records of all work performed and training undertaken.
6. Exhibit professionalism and take pride in appearance while adhering to company policies.
7. Maintain a positive demeanor towards all employees and clients.
8. Comply with and uphold company policies.
9. Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications:
Minimum of an AS degree in Electronics Engineering (or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A BS degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
- Understanding of analog and digital circuitry.
- Knowledge of mechanical principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with management, colleagues, and clients.
- Ability to effectively convey information regarding service activities and schedules.
- Capability to follow detailed instructions.
- Proficiency in performing service calls (Preventive Maintenance and Repairs) on various product models (as measured by instrument certification).
- Understanding of physics and chemistry principles.
- Ability to work from schematics using various testing equipment and mathematical calculations specific to electronics.
- Ability to effectively interact with clients and service department personnel.
- Proficient in English communication (reading, writing, and speaking).

Experience, Travel, and Additional Requirements:
- Experience with digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, hand tools, and computers.
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
- Eligible to obtain a passport.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to see small objects in confined spaces.
- Ability to move quickly between locations using various modes of transport.
- Ability to carry parts and/or tools from vehicle to equipment site.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Proficient use of hand tools.
- Hand-eye coordination sufficient for delicate tasks.
