Job Summary
The One World Observatory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for supporting all food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in staffing, scheduling, training, and counseling of staff to ensure a high-performing team.
- Directly manage staff while interacting with customers to provide a seamless dining experience.
- Maintain and control high-volume food and beverage inventory, ensuring accurate ordering and stock levels.
- Train, educate, and enforce responsible service of alcoholic beverages, evaluating compliance with corporate procedures.
- Develop and enforce standards for service, sanitation, and product and food quality, ensuring consistency across all outlets.
- Ensure all cash handling procedures are documented and enforced, maintaining accurate records and reconciliations.
- Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
- Conduct physical audits of inventory and product, researching and performing reconciliations as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Must meet state and city health requirements for food handling and alcoholic beverage service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Must be able to work fluently in English.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks.
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
