El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel, is a beautifully restored destination that embodies the charm and elegance cherished by both the local community and visitors. The property features ninety-two California-style suites and bungalows set amidst seven acres of meticulously landscaped gardens, offering breathtaking views of Santa Barbara and the Pacific Ocean. The hotel has preserved its original architectural features while incorporating modern amenities, including a stunning outdoor zero-edge pool and a newly designed boutique spa, enhancing the experience for discerning guests.
We are looking for a Wellness Facility Attendant who will report to the Director of Housekeeping and be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of lounge areas, locker rooms, retail spaces, and storage areas. The overall hygiene of the spa is contingent upon the diligence of the attendants, ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Adhere to checklists for opening and closing cleaning routines.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment through regular monitoring of locker rooms, facilities, and retail areas.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as mopping locker room floors, sanitizing showers, and maintaining restroom cleanliness.
- Oversee the fitness center, ensuring equipment is clean and bathrooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain the boutique area and spa patio by sweeping and vacuuming as needed.
- Keep the lounge area tidy and organized.
- Restock laundry, locker room, and treatment room supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Handle laundry collection and replacement efficiently.
- Engage with guests in a professional and courteous manner, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and remain focused on assigned tasks.
- Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.
- Report any maintenance issues within the spa areas to management.
- Participate in training and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist in various operational areas as directed by management.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding any significant occurrences involving staff or guests.
- Responsible for daily cleaning of all spa areas as assigned by management.
- Collect and organize linen for laundry services, ensuring proper documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of spa operations and concepts.
- Strong communication and listening skills; fluency in English is required.
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals and understand guest needs.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor.
- Team-oriented with quick problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift 30-50 pounds.
- Previous experience in customer service or laundry operations is preferred.
