Medical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Technologist II to join our core lab department at West Chester Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will perform routine and complex laboratory analyses, identify and correct problems, and stay current in laboratory theory and technique.
Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory analyses and tests
Identify and correct problems
Stay current in laboratory theory and technique
Assume responsibility for problem solving and exercise independent judgment and interpretation
Requirements:
Associate degree in a clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent
Laboratory experience preferred
Knowledge of specimen requirements and laboratory terminology
Ability to read and comprehend written information and effectively perform job duties in a stressful environment
