At INDEPENDENCE HEALTH SYSTEM INC, we are seeking a skilled Blood Collection Specialist to join our team. As a Blood Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other medical specimens from patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and off-site locations.

You will utilize office and computer skills to perform different aspects of the job, such as registration and entering test requests. Additional duties may include planting cultures in Microbiology and stocking supplies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a phlebotomy training program or equivalent training. You will also need to have Act 33/73 Clearances, Healthcare Provider CPR, and a valid driver's license.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual who can safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc. If you have a passion for providing excellent patient care and are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.
