Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for CT scans, including positioning, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Administer contrast media and other related procedures as needed.
  • Document patient information, exam results, and other relevant data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques to maintain proficiency and provide optimal patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited institution.
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
