Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations accurately and efficiently, ensuring high-quality images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and operate technical factors for CT studies, ensuring optimal image quality
  • Prepare and position patients for CT examinations, maintaining patient comfort and safety
  • Administer contrast media and other related procedures as needed
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete required fields within the electronic medical record system
  • Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
  • Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field through ongoing education and training
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, colleagues, and radiologists to ensure seamless patient care
  • Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness of equipment, and keep the examination room stocked with necessary supplies
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimal patient care
Requirements
  • Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited institution
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
