Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. As a member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe and competent manner.
  • Obtain and document a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered, and obtain informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
  • Maintain statistical results for quality improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with patients providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, test results, etc.
Requirements
  • A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty/ies.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer).
  • Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
