Position Overview

The role is responsible for effectively marketing and selling diesel-powered generator systems across various sectors, including industrial, commercial, medical, institutional, and petrochemical markets within a designated territory to maximize sales profitability and growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new client accounts while servicing and maintaining current accounts.
  • Assess customer requirements and preferences to determine how the company's products and services can fulfill their needs.
  • Recommend and sell manufactured generator systems, accessories, and related equipment by leveraging expertise in power generation technology.
  • Meet sales targets and forecasts as set by the department and organization.
  • Support the marketing and sales of new products and/or prototypes to the current market.
  • Review completed projects for discrepancies in component costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, manufacturing, production, purchasing, and accounting, to oversee project development and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor sales orders to ensure project costs, material lists, and delivery timelines align with project specifications and deadlines.
  • Calculate installation or production costs and prepare bid specifications for existing and prospective clients for evaluation.
  • Negotiate proposals and sales/service agreements with clients.
  • Establish, nurture, and enhance business, social, and networking relationships within the power generation sector to maintain a positive corporate image.
  • Strategically plan and organize sales initiatives.
  • Facilitate the resolution of customer issues, concerns, or complaints.
  • Attend sales and trade events and read relevant publications to stay informed about market conditions, business trends, and industry advancements.
  • Demonstrate and explain the use of installed equipment and production processes.
  • Provide management with oral and written reports regarding customer needs, challenges, interests, market conditions, competitive activities, and opportunities for new products/services.
  • Conduct all business dealings with integrity and professionalism.
