Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct New Employee Orientation and Safety Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs to ensure new employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs safely.
  • Participate in Pre-Shift Safety Meetings: Collaborate with team members to identify and mitigate potential safety risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct Workplace Inspections: Regularly inspect the workplace to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor Compliance with Pre-Use Inspection Processes: Ensure that all employees are following established pre-use inspection procedures to prevent equipment-related injuries.
  • Perform Data Entry Tasks: Accurately and efficiently enter data into our web-based incident reporting system to track and analyze safety metrics.
  • Support Audit and Corrective Actions: Collaborate with the audit team to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead Safety Teams and Projects: Develop and implement safety initiatives to increase employee engagement and participation in safety programs.
  • Support Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis: Assist in investigating incidents and identifying root causes to implement corrective actions and prevent future incidents.
  • Coordinate Annual Safety Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs safely.
  • Support Site-Specific Emergency Response Plan: Collaborate with team members to develop and implement an effective emergency response plan to ensure a safe and timely response to emergencies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of One Year of Progressive Work Experience: In an industrial setting, preferably in the food industry.
  • Familiarity with Safety Processes and Programs: In a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Ability to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Ability to Organize and Prioritize Tasks: Effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Action-Oriented and Results-Driven: Ability to drive results and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process Improvement Mindset: Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
