Job Summary

We're seeking a motivated and experienced Cheese Team Lead to join our team. As a Cheese Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that our production team follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety procedures. You will also be responsible for training team members, ensuring production metrics are met, and communicating effectively with team members, team leads, supervisors, and managers.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure team members follow SOPs, GMPs, and safety procedures.
  • Train team members on standard work and complete required training.
  • Ensure production metrics are met.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, team leads, supervisors, and managers.
  • Understand the requirements of the position and demonstrate proficiency in the job-specific PSOP job certification.
  • Have working knowledge of HTST, separators, starter make, vats, DMC, preheat, mixers, GRD, P2, finesavers, noltec, fortification, brine tanks, CIP systems, packaging, and milk receiving.
  • Properly clean and sanitize all equipment following good manufacturing practices as required by company procedures.
  • Ensure team members are up-to-date on monthly required safety and quality trainings.
  • Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
  • Ensure safety walks are completed as required.
  • Drive safety initiatives for the team during pre-shift meetings.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment or team leadership position, or equivalent training.
  • Mechanical skills/aptitude.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Adhere/understand to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Communicate effectively with others to complete required documentation both in written and electronic form utilizing the English Language.
  • Prior leadership experience and computer proficiency in email, internet, and Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
