Role Overview
The Catholic Faith Formation Chaplain is responsible for enhancing and nurturing Roman Catholic life within the university setting. This role emphasizes the importance of cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment for Catholic students, promoting a deeper connection to faith and community.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging students with Catholic values and teachings
- Facilitating student faith-based groups
- Developing formation programs and opportunities for leadership and community engagement
- Providing support specifically for Latinx Catholic students
- Offering individual pastoral care and spiritual guidance
- Upholding a focus on ministry within the Catholic Church and higher education, with a strong appreciation for the Ignatian tradition
Collaborative Work Environment
Reporting to the Director of Catholic Life, the Catholic Faith Formation Chaplain collaborates closely with fellow chaplains and participates actively in an ecumenical team, fostering interfaith relationships and cooperation.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Studies, or equivalent
- 3 to 4 years of experience working with youth in a campus ministry or similar pastoral context
- Strong commitment to the values of Catholic and Jesuit education
- Proficient in faith formation programming and knowledgeable about Ignatian spirituality
- Competent in basic computer applications, including email, Word, Excel, and Google Suite
- Experienced in utilizing websites and social media for communication
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in crisis management and team development is advantageous.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $47, $87,558.13. Compensation is influenced by various factors, including individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and the institution's needs.
