I. POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics Center Associate III plays a crucial role in enhancing the KSEA continuous improvement (LEAN) culture. As experts in departmental functions, these associates are proficient in executing advanced SAP transactions and managing intricate operational workflows. This position also entails collaboration on inter-departmental initiatives.

II. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Proficient experience with SAP is essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) is necessary.
  • Must be able to actively engage in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively across various organizational levels.
  • Reliability and dependability are crucial.
  • Punctuality is expected.

III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position necessitates continuous and varied movements, including standing, sitting, bending, walking, reaching, grasping, packing, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
  • Must frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting of 30-75 lbs may be required with assistance.
  • Occasional pushing/pulling of up to 320 lbs on casters with assistance is necessary.
  • Must be capable of using a warehouse ladder to reach shelves as needed.
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack is required.
  • Competence in using standard office equipment (computers, copiers, etc.) is essential.

B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will actively spearhead all LEAN/Continuous Improvement initiatives with a strong commitment to engagement. Key activities include:

  • Implementing 5S methodologies.
  • Managing the Idea Board.
  • Conducting Audits.
  • Establishing Visual Control Systems.
  • Facilitating adherence to and execution of all process enhancements.
  • As the department's subject matter expert, you will assist in training new associates.
  • Contributing to the creation and processing of work instructions.
  • Taking on increased responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
