The Role

We are seeking an Account Director to join our Direct Impact Practice, working with a globally recognized automotive client. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for client-facing work, project execution, and oversight of stakeholder and local media relations and events campaigns. You will also coordinate asset and content creation, including press releases, editorial stories, legal claims, media responses, and fact sheets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client-facing work, including project execution and oversight of stakeholder and local media relations and events campaigns
  • Coordination of asset and content creation, including press releases, editorial stories, legal claims, media responses, and fact sheets
  • Work with the Marketing team to determine the status of current assets, assets in need of development, and what teams will be responsible for creation
  • Responsible for coordination of agency calls, meetings, and agendas, as well as recaps
  • Media monitoring supervision and review
  • Additional ad-hoc client and practice requests as needed
Requirements
  • 7+ years of previous public relations work experience
  • Excellent project and team management skills, with a proven ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments and identify, secure, and employ resources needed to achieve results
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong technical writing skills with high attention to detail
  • Prior experience serving as a day-to-day account lead
  • Ability to manage complex client and internal relationships diplomatically and consultatively
  • Ability to think innovatively to develop creative solutions and new programs
  • Team player, ready to roll up their sleeves in a collaborative environment
  • Experience or interest in the automotive industry preferred
