Key Responsibilities- Plan, host, and moderate education programs such as webinars, podcast episodes, and virtual Roundtables to share disease-related information in patient-friendly language.
- Collaborate with medical experts, healthcare providers, and patients to provide accurate and up-to-date information about blood cancer.
- Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma patients and care partners.
- Host webinars, podcast episodes, and Roundtables, and moderate Q&A sessions to ensure a engaging and informative experience for participants.
- Communicate with advocacy partners to obtain sponsorship for our nonprofit and advocate for patients through moderating patient advisory boards.
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a health-related setting working with patients, including health coaching, health education, public health, nursing, social work, psychology, nutrition, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with patients, health professionals, and coworkers.
- Willingness to meet with blood cancer specialists and travel several times per year to hematology-oncology conferences and academic centers.
- Experience in planning, developing, and designing health education presentations and programs.
- Ability to translate medical jargon into patient-friendly terms.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to be creative and innovative in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Tech savvy.
