Position Overview

Centrav, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual who excels in a dynamic work environment. You will maintain a positive demeanor under pressure and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Key strengths required include multitasking, organization, accuracy, reliability, and problem-solving. Your role will involve delivering exceptional support to our diverse clientele of retail travel advisors and specialty agents, ensuring a professional and friendly company image through various communication channels including phone, chat, and email. The scope of responsibilities is broad, reflecting our extensive engagement in the travel sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage booking, modification, and protection of airline reservations utilizing Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Worldspan and Amadeus, along with Centrav's proprietary booking platform.
  • Possess knowledge of domestic and international airline/airport codes, routing, and fare regulations.
  • Enhance relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams aimed at improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Engage professionally with a diverse range of individuals assisting with travel arrangements globally.
  • Educate travel advisor clients on industry standards and practices to facilitate their success.
  • Collaborate with team members to devise innovative solutions in response to changes within the airline sector.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Proven experience with GDS (Amadeus and/or Worldspan) using native commands/formats for booking and modifying air reservations is essential, with a preference for 2 years of experience.
  • Background in the airline/travel industry.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Advanced education beyond a high school diploma.
  • Strong computer, mathematical, and communication skills. Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Must be located in the United States.
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, with options for a four-day workweek after training.

Salary

$19-24/hour based on experience.

Working Conditions

Standard office environment.
