Position Summary:

TEKsystems is collaborating with a rapidly expanding commercial integrator recognized for its expertise in the design, engineering, installation, and maintenance of electronic systems. Their services encompass access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.

In the Charlotte area, we are seeking to enhance the installation team with 4 skilled technicians. These professionals will be responsible for the daily installation of hardware at various job sites. The company employs an in-house programmer, so additional programming skills are not a prerequisite for this role. Technicians will report to the office each day and travel together to different locations, which may include office buildings, educational institutions, and industrial sites. Team assignments may vary daily based on project requirements.

Dress Code: Company shirts will be provided; however, candidates must supply their own work pants (no jeans), boots, hard hats, high-visibility vests, and safety glasses. Essential hand tools required for the role include a screwdriver set, pliers, snips, and a punchdown tool.

Working Hours:

  • Hours may vary based on project needs, typically from 7 AM to 5 PM.
  • Overtime is frequently available.
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday.

Key Skills Required:

  1. Proficiency in mounting, wiring, and installing IP cameras and access control systems. Familiarity with the following systems is advantageous but not mandatory:
  • Access Control Systems: Lenel/S2, Genetec, Software House, Open Path, ProWatch
  • IP Cameras: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, MaxPro, Genetec, Victor, Avigilon, Hanwha
  1. Experience in commercial settings such as hospitals, schools, warehouses, and businesses.
  2. Ability to work independently, effectively interpreting blueprints and completing installations.

Work Environment:

This role involves working in commercial environments, including hospitals and warehouses.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with the installation of intrusion detection systems (IDS) or security systems is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturers such as Vista, Bosch, and DMP is beneficial.

Drug Testing: A drug test is required for this position.
