Job Description

Position Overview:

Allied Universal Technology Services is seeking a highly skilled Installation Manager to oversee the execution and performance of field installation staff. The successful candidate will ensure that branch goals and objectives are met, aligning with the Branch in terms of supervising employees to maintain schedules and projects according to plans, job specifications, and cost estimates.

The Installation Manager will work in accordance with the organization's office policies and procedures, upholding the overall core values of Allied Universal Technology Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the activities and performance of all project management, system installation, and commissioning employees for installed work.
  • Provide technical support, expertise, leadership, and accountability for installed projects in assigned geographic areas or locations.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control all installation and engineering activities.
  • Hire, recruit, retain, and train needs for operations installation staff.
  • Build and maintain an effective operations organization committed to customer and employee satisfaction and profitable growth.
  • Evaluate employee performance and work with the general manager on salary management.
  • Supervise the performance of field installation staff and respond to escalated issues in the field.
  • Communicate management directives to field staff and ensure compliance (WFS, Safety, etc.).
  • Coordinate with several departments related to installation projects.
  • Develop manpower schedules and loading to ensure contract and project compliance.
  • Manage installation projects for prevention of project slippage.
  • Site visits to ensure QC of various projects; ensure conformance to client specifications and company requirements.
  • Follow up on customer satisfaction issues and drive resolution.
  • Engage company resources to resolve customer issues outside of project scope.
  • Promote the securing of change orders.
  • Onsite support and guidance for newer technical staff.
  • Provide project folders to operations teams for project close-out process.
  • Work with operations teams with MPC process.
  • Serve as safety champion for responsible branch(s).
  • Ensure reports, incidents, workers' compensation (injury) reports, OSHA logs are funneled to the proper personnel and are up-to-date and complete.
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or equivalent required, Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in Engineering or Project Management (techniques & tools).
  • Possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
  • Experience with any or all of the following preferred: Software House, Lenel, Open Options, AMAG, S2, Bravo, Milestone, Exact, and ONSSI.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Word).
