Responsibilities :

Proactively seek and identify new business prospects within a global sales territory, focusing on market segments such as IP Transit, content providers/hosters, carriers/wholesalers, and net-centric enterprises. Utilize direct outreach methods, including calls and emails, to identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities by engaging with key decision-makers. Enhance prospecting and sales initiatives through in-person meetings with clients as necessary. Employ consultative and relationship-driven sales techniques to uncover current and future connectivity needs. Assist Cogent's clients and prospects by effectively positioning our services for new business opportunities, leveraging our global network presence that encompasses commercial and retail buildings, carrier-neutral hotels, data centers, and colocation facilities.

Qualifications :

3-8+ years of substantial B2B sales experience within the telecommunications sector, particularly in collocation, wholesale, and data transit and transport. Proven track record of success in direct hunting and B2B sales roles, consistently achieving quotas. Demonstrated capability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through thorough prospecting and research. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with revenue targets. Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and CRM systems is advantageous. A college degree is preferred.

Work Environment:

This role requires in-office presence five days a week to maximize support for your success, facilitating focused mentorship, training, and personal development.
