We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety & Security Consultant to join our team at the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). As a key member of our Risk Management Services team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing education and training programs to enhance school safety and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality training resources and materials on school safety, security, and emergency management topics.
  • Conduct research to create educational presentations, articles, and other content on school safety and security issues.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in statutory and legal environments affecting members.
  • Collaborate with claims managers, risk management marketing consultants, and other TASB staff to address member needs.
  • Understand and educate members on the intersection of safety and security with Fund coverage offerings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Risk Management, Business Administration, Communication, Education, or a related field.
  • 5 years of professional experience in a related role, such as emergency management, law enforcement, environmental health and safety, business continuity, or risk management.
  • Valid Texas driver's license required.
  • Experience working with schools, law enforcement, or other public entities, with a preference for working in a K-12 environment.
