Role Overview
The Enterprise Security Architect is a pivotal member of the Information Security Team, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Cybersecurity, with a secondary reporting line to the Chief Information Security Officer. This role is integral to all initiatives within IT and the broader business that necessitate robust Information Security measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Information Security target reference architecture and associated patterns for solution architects, administrators, and developers.
  • Conduct comprehensive Information Security assessments to ensure necessary controls are in place for various projects and implementations.
  • Evaluate existing controls to assess their effectiveness in safeguarding people, processes, and technology.
  • Collaborate with various IT departments to ensure adherence to required security controls.
  • Provide strategic guidance on infrastructure as a service, automation, and essential capabilities, emphasizing the principle of minimal access.
  • Recommend security control tests to validate the effectiveness of implemented measures.
  • Assist in quantifiable risk analysis, identifying appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate Information Security products for organizational use, ensuring involvement from relevant teams in the selection process.
  • Stay informed about compliance requirements and ensure that assessments and architectural guidance reflect these needs.
  • Possess over 8 years of experience in Information Security Architecture and at least 3 years with the Azure platform.
  • Hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, SANS, or equivalents.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Security and Risk Management, Endpoint Security, Security Architecture, and Engineering.
  • Have experience with enterprise-class products for Provisioning, Authentication, and Authorization.
  • Understand networking, cryptography, DNS, routing, PKI, and security technologies.
  • Be knowledgeable in secure coding practices and the secure software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53, CSF, HIPAA, PII, PHI, NY-DFS, PCI.
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
