Operating Room Nurse

At Danbury Hospital, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, psychological, and cognitive needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that prioritize patient outcomes and address identified needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Connecticut.
- Minimum of one year of experience in the Operating Room or completion of a perioperative training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Nursing certification in a relevant specialty.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to dirt, odors, and other hazardous materials. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
