Position Overview

The Clinical Quality and Risk Management Specialist is responsible for leading various initiatives within the Quality, Risk, and Compliance department at Springfield Hospital Inc. This role encompasses a range of quality assurance and patient safety activities that align with the hospital's overarching quality and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary clinical expert within the Quality, Risk, and Compliance department, executing essential quality and patient safety tasks.
  • Leverage clinical nursing expertise to analyze data, ensuring the ongoing enhancement of quality and safe patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent certification from an accredited nursing institution.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Proven ability to engage in and/or spearhead quality improvement initiatives within a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Possession of an active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or a compact state RN license in good standing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and effective communication abilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Vermont nursing standards, as applicable.
